Winter's End

Oh, my goodness.  I knew it had been awhile since I'd put anything up, but this is crazy.

Should I tell you about the henna party I booked in December? Or about the health fair I did at Sunspot Market this past weekend?  Should I make excuses about the winter blahs getting to me in a big way, or tell you I had some other project on the boil and just never had time to write?  (Well, either that last part is a lie or I've already forgotten about whatever it was I was doing.)

If you live anywhere in the Midwest you know already that this was the winter that just wouldn't end.  I'm glad that it's officially spring, irritated that Daylight Saving Time exists, and gearing up for another season of henna at the farmer's market.  I'm also mulling ideas for a calligraphy project to be completed in a couple weeks' time, creating a character for a role-playing game with folks I haven't played with in ages (yay!), reading a new-to-me book by Barbara Sher who is my absolute favorite self-help person, and fighting a cold, all while mothering a kid and halfheartedly looking for a job.

Put that way, I sound tremendously busy.  This is what is known as spin.

How have you all been surviving the winter?  What will you be working on now that spring has officially arrived?

All the best,
me

  1. Please continue to describe your days, Heather. Reading this post is delightful. No, that's not the right word. It's nutritious. Feels like I just ate something good.

I'm going to tweet the link so everyone can find your excellent blog.

  2. Barbara,
I'm thrilled to hear you say so. I try to stick to the creative stuff, but you know, some days a person just can't be all that creative.

Hope to see you visit again!
