Definitions

I learned last week that shrinks define "want" as "willing to put forth effort to achieve". If you're not willing to put effort into gaining something, then you don't want it, you just have a desire for it.

It would appear that I desire a lot, and want very little.

I'm also learning about "values" and how they're not the same thing as goals or tasks. One of the exercises I'm working on is discovering those values that are important enough to me to work toward, even in the face of personal pain.

What are your values? What do you want? I'm curious.
